Refunds

The short version

Try it before you pay

Every account gets one free hour, once. It runs immediately rather than waiting in a queue, and it produces a real book with a real fidelity report. Use it before you buy anything — that is what it is for, and it is the honest alternative to a refund policy written to be hard to use.

A failed book costs you nothing

If a job fails, the hours return to your balance automatically and we email you to say so. No request, no form, no delay. Up to three times a month; past that please write to us, because by then the problem is not the hours.

Changing your mind

Within thirty days of your first payment on a plan, you may cancel and have your money back, less the hours you have already used, charged at the price you paid for them.

The calculation is done from your usage record, which is kept to the second, and it is rounded in your favour.

The day that counts is the day you write to us, not the day we read it. If your message is sent inside the thirty days, you are inside them — our answering on the Monday is our affair, not yours.

Regular yearly, $24920 hours of 360$235.17

After thirty days

A plan is not refunded after that. You may still cancel at any time — it stops renewing and you keep the period you have paid for.

One thing is not bounded by the thirty days: if we close the service, you get back what you have paid for and not received, a yearly plan in proportion to the months left on it. We would tell you before it happened.

The thirty days belong to your first payment on a plan, not to every renewal. A renewal is something you cancel before it happens.

A yearly plan is the same, and it is worth saying why. All twelve months' hours are given to you on the first day rather than month by month — so after the window you are holding something we have already handed over in full.

Hours that expire

Hours are not money and cannot be cashed in. This month's hours expire at the end of the month, carried hours at the end of the next, yearly plan hours on their date. Credits never expire. Your account shows all four at all times, so nothing should ever expire as a surprise.

How to ask

Write to info@lessonscriber.com from the address on the account. We answer within a few days, and we would rather settle it than argue about it.
